Groove is a customer support web application launched in 2013.

Hypothesis

Changing the button color from red to green will increase registrations.

Three different colors were tested:

Results

The test proofed insignificant.

Learnings

Button color tests are controversial. Generally there is no research that will tell you the color is a problem – unless the button is not standing out. Still having your visitor clicking the call to action is your primary objective and some sites have had positive results by just changing the color. For Groove it did not make a difference.
